Discover Centered Life is a contemplative arts center which hosts sensory immersion experiences in an indoor nature inspired sanctuary.

Centered Life Sanctuary

Nature inspired sensory immersion

People have many options to take care of their outer body but fewer opportunities to nourish and refresh their inner selves. Centered Life Sanctuary offers contemplative experiences which help people connect to and nurture their inner well-being.

When faced with illness, stress, adversity or overwhelm in life, even the strongest person can become weary or exhausted. Finding sanctuary – a place of rest and reflection – can re-energize body and mind, leading to reduced stress, renewed focus and inspiration to find new ways of approaching the challenges of life.

Guided Sanctuary Tour

Your visit begins with a 15 min private tour of the sanctuary. After your walkthrough you are invited to enjoy the sanctuary rooms & resources for the remainder of your visit, for up to 2 hour total. Can be booked for 1-6 people.

Listening Room

Enjoy music the old fashioned way, on a vintage turntable. Sit back and simply relax or choose from a variety of music and art related activities.

Healing Arts Room

Enjoy the beautiful resonance of authentic hand-crafted Tibetan Singing Bowls and other instruments which can help resonate well-being, peace and calm. May be experienced on your own or with a practitioner.

Readers Retreat

Reserve the Contemplation Corner for quiet, uninterrupted time to read in our cozy reading nook. Bring your own books, or choose a title from our library.

The Art of Writing

Reserve the Contemplation Corner for dedicated writing time in a tranquil, uplifting environment. Finish a long overdue letter to a friend or loved one or continue working on your latest writing project. Resources to boost creative energy are provided.

Nature Immersion

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the natural world. Your visit begins in the Nature Room where you can relax for 30 minutes before transitioning to the Campfire Room to view “Awaken”. Nature lovers enjoy the meditative quality of this nature film.

Conversations in Sanctuary

Participate in meaningful conversations in a tranquil, stress-reducing environment. Topics covered include health challenges and recovery as well as how to thrive amidst other adverse life events. See our calendar for upcoming topics.

Caregiver Reboot

Weary caregivers are invited to relax and reboot in the Sanctuary. Refresh and energize while our team takes care of all the details for you. Begin your visit with brunch in our Gathering Room at 11:00 a.m. followed by a guided tour of the Sanctuary. Plus 2 hours to enjoy the sanctuary rooms & resources as you wish.

3 hrs

Group/Team Retreat

For groups of up to 8 people. Begin your visit with breakfast at 9 a.m. in our Connections Room, followed by a guided tour of the Sanctuary plus 3 hours for your group/team to enjoy the sanctuary rooms & resources. Optionally reserve the conference room for lunch and extended meeting time for the second half of the day. 

4-8 hrs

Sanctuary Visits – What to Expect

  • Check your confirmation email for arrival time
  • No outside footwear is permitted in the sanctuary, socks or slippers are available in the foyer to borrow or purchase
  • To ensure all guests can unplug and de-stress without distraction, use of personal electronics is permitted in the foyer and waiting area only
  • Street parking is available as well as a lot behind building with additional municipal parking available nearby

Change is inevitable and turmoil sometimes can push us off balance. A centered life is not something we achieve once. Rather it’s a way of tapping into our innate resiliency to thrive regardless of circumstance. It’s returning to center over and over again, regardless of the challenge or crisis of the day.

Discover Centered Life is made possible by the cooperation of a team of people who offer their support, skill, insights and hard work. We are a diverse, intergenerational and bi-partisan group of people interested in making contemplative sanctuary available for individuals from all different backgrounds and life perspectives to enjoy. We are committed to holding respectful space for both secular and interfaith points of view, nurturing meaningful conversations and collaborating in support of common goals for the benefit of our community. 

Here, no matter what you are going through in life, you will find open-hearted, compassionate community.

This serene space, infused with elements of art, music and nature, can help reduce stress and refresh your inner being. No matter how turbulent or demanding your experience of the outer world might be, here you can just “be”. Rest. Be present. Be still. Be well.
